BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
Perlane is of the Restylane family. The difference is in th gel particle size. Perlane is designed for a deeper injection and most often patients maintain improvement for 6 months.
Radiesse wrinkle filler will instantly restore volume and will keep working by stimulating your own collagen. It is mixed with lidocaine so it will significantly reduce pain during your procedure. Radiesse has been found to last a year or more in some patients and is an excellent choice for smile lines, marionette lines, oral commissures and pre jowl lines.
Sculptra is indicated for use in immune-competent patients. It is the liquid facelift of today. It covers many areas and is injected deep in to the dermis to correct ptosis by adding fullness and an overall plumpness to the face giving you a much more youthful appearance. Sculptra Aesthetic is not recommended for the lips or the periorbital area.
Thermage™ is a quick, easy and non-invasive alternative to a face lift. Using painless radiofrequency energy, Thermage "lifts" and tightens loose and sagging skin to restore youthful vigor to patients' faces. The Thermage device stimulates collagen production and temporarily reduces wrinkles while keeping the skin surface cool and comfortable. There is no incision or recovery time.
